shifting problems after changing the TCM unit

checking if anyone else had an issue like this? after TCU transmission valve replacement the engine does a surge after gear shift. Took it to the dealer and they said that this cannot be erased.

You could try to reset your ECM or have it updated, you might have an outdated firmware. its typical for the RPM to float or hover then drop when slowing down.

I had a similar problem after a valve replacement. the surge happened every time i shifted gears. The dealer told me its normal and can't be fixed. Has anyone found a solution?

The TCU usually needs to adjust after a valve replacement. The calibration might also have an issue or the fluid levels? Just go double check. There's no way this can't be erased. Or if yeah, then it just needs to adjust really.
 
That surge after a gear shift post TCU valve replacement could be due to improper adaptation or calibration not being reset properly..
