Side vents of 2017 blowing hot air

Just noticed the side vents on my 2017 started blowing straight heat, no matter the temperature setting, but I also noticed that the center vents still work fine with AC and adjust normally, who has come across this before please, is it a blend door issue or something with the vent controls?

Yeah... it appears like your blend door actuator on the driver's side might be stuck. Common issue, don't worry it isn't an isolated case. It's usually the cheap plastic gears inside giving out and messing with the temp control. Let me know what happens.

@Abel.grace If you or a friend have an OBD-II scanner that can read HVAC codes (not all basic ones can), it might throw a specific code for the faulty actuator, pointing you right to it
