Tow wiring question

My brother has a 2016 Nissan Armada SV that he uses for everything from weekend trips to hauling gear for his kids' sports events. He recently bought a small pop up camper and we're getting it ready for some summer camping. Before we start pulling panels and running wires, we were wondering if this model already has the prewired harness in the cargo area side panel for the trailer lights. If it's there, it would make the install so much easier and keep things looking factory. Has anyone here checked on this with the 2016 SV trim and if so, was it ready to plug in?

If I'm not mistaken all recent Armadas have a trailer plug, so it's just a matter of finding it. Unfortunately, you will need to remove some panels to find it. If by some freak of nature accident you don't see the plug, you'll need to get a harness kit, but in any case it will still be factory looking and you won't need to cut drill or do anything similar.

We're planning to take a closer look this weekend and start with the cargo area panels to see if the plug is tucked in there. If it's prewired like you mentioned, that would save us a lot of time and keep things clean. I've heard that on some SV trims, the tow package was optional, so we're not totally sure what's hiding behind the trim. Do you happen to know if the plug is usually taped off or clipped in a specific location behind the passenger-side panel? If we don't find it, we'll likely opt for a harness kit and attempt to keep the installation as close to factory specifications as possible.
