I recently noticed that i have some water leaking from the liftgate and it collects water around the molding when it rains and i wash the car. Anyone has an idea how to fix this and what I nee to do to?

I think the water's sneaking in your liftgate and pooling around the molding.. clean the drain holes and slap some weatherstrip sealant on it to stop the leak! hope this will help you!

I had a similar experience way back.. Found out the drainage holes of my liftgates were clogged.

That's way off. You need to replace the seal most likely if there are cracks on the weather stripping. But if it's due to clogged drain holes you just need some compressed air. Very straightforward, can do by yourself but just to be sure let the dealer deal with it rotfl

That is often caused by a worn or damaged weather seal or clogged drain channels. Check the rubber molding around your liftgate for cracks, gaps, or debris, and clean or replace it as needed. Also, inspect and clear any blocked drain holes around the area. Replacing the seal is usually just a simple DIY fix with a new weatherstrip and some adhesives.
