my BIL's got a little drama with his Nissan, he has a 2021 Armada, and the horn is acting super strange.

It works just fine when he uses the remote, so we know the horn itself isn't the problem.

But when he tries to use it from the steering wheel, it gets a little crazy.

It doesn't work if the wheel is straight or turned to the left. But if he turns the wheel to the right, all of a sudden the horn works perfectly!

He's a good man and I'm trying to help him. do you guys have any ideas what's going on here?

It's like the connection is only being made in that one specific spot

This could be a worn or loose clock spring in the steering column, since it handles the electrical connection to the horn and other wheel controls. When it starts failing, weird things like this can happen depending on the wheel's position. Get it checked before it gets worse!

Yunno @p4nc4kepile the clock spring in the steering wheel can wear or get damaged, causing intermittent connections depending on wheel position. Since the horn works with the remote, the horn itself is fine so replacing the clock spring usually fixes this kind of directional only functionality.
