Heater core replacement

A few weeks ago i noticed a wet spot on the back underside and noticed that one of the pipes was leaking so i plan to replace it as soon as possible. It seems like a hell of a job and does anyone have any advice on how to approach this?

Haaa I'm not really a technical person but I'm gonna try because I faced like something similar sometime back and the first thing you should do is CALL UP YOUR MECHANIC. After that they're gonna talk about how they removed the HVAC unit and recharged the A/C system and blah blah blah about coolants. I didn't understand much but I'm sure your mechanic would be able to explain what I was trying to say. It did not cost me much for repairs.

hey did you get this checked by your mechanic? Curious what their advice is.

yup yup, been there, that's If it's one of the rear coolant or fuel lines, especially if it's rusted or tucked behind other components. Best advice? soak all your fittings in penetrating oil the night before, then drop the tank if needed, and have extra hose clamps and line handy
